Mandatory reporting of gender pay gaps came into force on 4 April 2018 (for businesses with 250 or more ‘employees’). However, many of the larger firms have managed to massage their figures by arguing that partners are not ‘employees’ and so should be excluded. [2018] LSG 26 February 1.
